No one must do injustice to Bengali Hindus who have come to India from Bangladesh: Himanta

Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said no one must do injustice to Bengali Hindus who have come to India from Bangladesh post-independence.

Speaking at Assam Bengali Yuva Chatra Parishad Conference in Silapathar Sarma said, “As the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) passed in parliament, it will clear the legal hurdle in Supreme Court and with time the problem of Bengali Hindus residing in India and Assam will become non -existent.”

Sarma said, “Me and my party’s stand has always been clear about Hindus in Pakistan or Bangladesh who have come here due to religious persecution.”
