No Plan to Replace Smart Meters in Assam: CM Sarma

CM Himanta Biswa Sarma clarified that the Assam government has no plan to replace smart meters with digital ones. He said consumers are satisfied, and bills have reduced. Assam leads in smart meter installations with over 41.9 lakh units installed. This comes amid reports that APDCL may offer digital meters to select consumers, unlike many states where smart meter installation has stalled.
