Northeast to Connect with Delhi by Rail and Air by 2027: Amit Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced that all northeastern states will be connected to Delhi via rail and air by 2027. Speaking at the ‘Unity Utsav – One Voice, One Nation’ event in New Delhi, Shah credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for enhancing connectivity and fostering unity between the Northeast and the rest of India.

Shah highlighted increased budget allocations, vast youth potential, and the rich cultural diversity of the region. He also announced India’s first sports university in Manipur and noted a 70% drop in violent incidents in the Northeast.
