Opposition Alliance to Take on BJP in Assam Polls: Gaurav Gogoi

APCC president Gaurav Gogoi said opposition parties in Assam will form an alliance for the upcoming Assembly elections to defeat the BJP. He alleged that the BJP is confused over its own alliances in Rabha Hasong, the Bodoland Territorial Council and with the AGP.

Gogoi said the Congress is not prioritising the vacant Rajya Sabha seat, as it would require an alliance with AIUDF, which the party has ruled out. On the Kaziranga elevated corridor, he stressed the need for sustainable development with proper environmental assessment.

During the press meet, the Congress released a music video and launched a wall-writing campaign under the “Natun Bor Asom Abhiyan,” in the presence of senior party leaders.
