Opposition Grows Against Proposed Liquor Outlet in Rani

Strong opposition has emerged in Rani, Palasbari, against a proposed country liquor outlet at Rani No. 3 Chowk. The Sri Sri Banshi Gopal Gosain Ghar managing committee has urged the Kamrup Deputy Commissioner to cancel the proposed licence.

Residents have also raised concerns over alleged illegal liquor outlets in the Palasbari area and warned of protests and possible legal action if the new licence is approved.
