Opposition Parties Hold Fresh Unity Talks in Assam

Congress, AJP, CPI(M), Raijor Dal and other regional parties met again in Guwahati in a renewed attempt to unite against the BJP. Leaders called it a positive step towards election-focused cooperation, admitting past mistakes. CPI(M) and AJP expressed optimism about stronger coordination. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma mocked the meeting, comparing it to a recurring “TV serial,” saying the Opposition lacks seriousness.
