Over 12% of Food Samples in Assam Fail Safety Tests, Raising Health Alarms
Over 12% of 7,682 food samples tested in Assam failed safety standards, per the State Public Health Laboratory. Unsafe items included tea, fruits, vegetables, cereals, and spices with excess pesticide residues. Milk, oils, and salt were among substandard products.
