Over 200 Artistes to Honour Zubeen Garg in Grand Tribute Concert on November 19

A grand musical tribute titled “Zubeen–Jonak Kontholoi Xuror Orghya” will be held on November 19 at the Assam Engineering Institute playground, Chandmari, celebrating the life and music of late legend Zubeen Garg.
The free, open-to-all event will feature over 200 artistes performing Garg’s devotional, modern, and folk songs from 5 pm to 10 pm. Organisers said the concert will have “no VIP culture,” symbolising love and respect for the icon.
Led by singers Barnali Kalita, Anupam Saikia, Tarali Sharma, Rupam Bhuyan, and others, the tribute will also remember other artistes Assam lost in 2025. Rehearsals are underway at Jyoti Chitraban, with eight music directors and nearly 80 instrumentalists coordinating the performances.
The organisers invited the public to join and celebrate the legacy of Assam’s beloved “Son of God,” Zubeen Garg, ensuring his timeless creations inspire future generations.
