Owaisi Targets Congress, Backs AIUDF in Assam Campaign

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday launched a sharp attack on the Indian National Congress, calling it the “A-team” of the BJP during a campaign rally in Dhubri.
Campaigning for All India United Democratic Front candidates, Owaisi said Congress has lost public trust and alleged that Muslims are being targeted in the name of eviction.
He claimed AIUDF could play a key role in government formation if it secures around 29 seats, forcing both BJP and Congress to depend on it.
Owaisi also criticised Congress leadership and representation in Dhubri, asserting that voting for the party would indirectly benefit the BJP.
His visit is seen as an effort to consolidate minority votes ahead of the Assembly elections.
