Pitbari Villagers Allege Factory Causing Artificial Flooding During Monsoon

Rani (Kamrup): Residents of Pitbari village have alleged that a private sack-manufacturing unit, Pluscom Industry LLP, has caused recurring artificial flooding by blocking the area’s natural drainage system. They claim several homes, courtyards, and nearby farmland are getting waterlogged after every heavy rainfall, disrupting livelihoods and causing financial losses.

Villagers have demanded an inquiry into the factory’s approval process and urged authorities to ensure proper drainage infrastructure. The factory management has not yet responded to the allegations.
