Plan for Assam government employees to receive medical reimbursements

The challenges faced by government employees and retired officials in obtaining reimbursement for their medical bills due to bureaucratic red tape will soon come to an end as the Assam government announced the Mukhya Mantrir Lok Sevak Arogya Yojana’s operational guidelines (MMLSAY).

The entire medical bill reimbursement process will now be completed online, bringing about a radical change to the system.

According to official sources, reimbursement will now be available within three months of submitting the medical expense bills, compared to the previous two to three year period.
