PM Modi to Inaugurate First Bodoland Mahotsav

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the inaugural Bodoland Mahotsav on Friday at the SAI Indira Gandhi Sports Complex.

The two-day event, themed “Peace and Harmony for Prosperous Bharat,” celebrates Bodo culture, language, and traditions while promoting peace and prosperity in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). It highlights the Bodo community’s resilience since the 2020 Bodo Peace Accord.

Key sessions include discussions on Bodo culture’s contribution to Indian heritage and the National Education Policy’s role in mother-tongue education. Over 5,000 attendees from across India, Nepal, and Bhutan will participate.
