Police Bust Illegal Cow Slaughter Operation in Dhubri, One Arrested

Police in Dhubri’s South Geramari raided a suspected illegal cow slaughter site, arresting one person, Monowar Hussain, and seizing a cow carcass and butchering tools. Three others, including repeat offender Sabed Ali, fled. A case under the Assam Cattle Preservation Act, 2021 has been filed. The incident adds to ongoing state-wide crackdowns, with over 133 arrests made so far.
