Police Raid in Guwahati Uncovers Fake Currency Printing Operation

A team from Dispur Police Station in East Guwahati Police District raided a house near Down Town locality, leading to the bust of a Fake Indian Currency Note (FICN) trading gang. The raid resulted in the recovery of a printing machine and FICN worth Rs 3,49,500. Three individuals—Shtragan Riyang (30), Alasranha Riyang (52), and Moinul Haque (23)—originating from Tripura and Laluk were arrested during the operation. Legal action has been initiated against the arrested individuals.
