Police Register Cases Over Controversial AI Video Involving Assam CM

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday said police have registered a case following a complaint by Congress leaders over a controversial AI-generated video uploaded and later deleted by the state BJP. He added that a BJP worker has also filed a separate complaint in the matter.

The video, posted on February 7, showed Sarma allegedly firing at two individuals and triggered political backlash. Sarma said neither he nor the BJP supports anything against Assamese Muslims, reiterating that his opposition is directed at illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators.
