Prabhati Thaosen Appointed New APSC Chairperson

Retired IAS officer Prabhati Thaosen has been appointed as the chairperson of the Assam Public Service Commission. A member of the commission since June, she previously served in key administrative roles, including the Border Protection & Development and Tourism departments. The chairpost was vacant since September after Deboraj Upadhaya’s term ended. Following her elevation, two member seats in the commission remain vacant.
