President Murmu Calls for Inclusive Growth and National Unity

President Droupadi Murmu, in her Independence Day eve address, extended greetings to citizens and called for greater efforts towards inclusive development, national unity and the vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047. She paid tribute to freedom fighters and praised farmers, workers, scientists, teachers, entrepreneurs and other citizens for their contribution to nation-building.

Murmu also lauded the Armed Forces, police and Indian diaspora for serving the nation. Highlighting women’s growing participation in agriculture, entrepreneurship and the armed forces, she noted that more than 10 crore women are members of Self Help Groups.
