Punjab Police Transfers Drug Traffickers to Dibrugarh Jail to Disrupt Smuggling Operations

The Punjab Police transferred two drug traffickers, Akshay Chhabra and Jaspal Singh (Goldy), to Dibrugarh Central Jail under the PITNDPS Act. Goldy, linked to Chhabra’s international drug syndicate, allegedly smuggled 1,400 kg of heroin. This move follows the transfer of drug kingpin Balwinder Singh, as part of efforts to dismantle a nexus between traffickers and compromised officials. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) supports these actions to curtail narcotic smuggling activities.
