Purabi Dairy to Operate Dhemaji Dairy Plant Under New MoU

Purabi Dairy, operated by the West Assam Milk Producers’ Co-operative Union Ltd. (WAMUL), signed an MoU with the Directorate of Dairy Development (DoDD) of Assam. This agreement allows Purabi Dairy to manage the DoDD’s 5,000-litre per day capacity dairy plant in Dhemaji. The collaboration aims to enhance the dairy sector in upper Assam by increasing the availability of Purabi milk products and providing income opportunities for farmers. Operations at the Dhemaji plant will start soon, aligning with the state’s goal of reaching 10 lakh litres per day in milk production.
