Rahul challenges the Assam Police to file more First Information Reports (FIR)

Guwahati Police filed an FIR against Rahul Gandhi and other Congress leaders for allegedly provoking a crowd. Rahul Gandhi challenged the BJP-ruled State to file as many cases as possible, stating that he won’t be intimidated.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that arrests related to the violence during the ‘Bharatiodo Nyay Yatra’ would occur after the Lok Sabha elections to avoid politicizing the matter.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge wrote to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, addressing security concerns for Rahul Gandhi during the Assam leg of the yatra and requesting measures to ensure his safety.
