Rahul Gandhi Predicts Congress Victory in 2026 Assam Polls, Slams BJP

During a rally in Bamunigaon, Assam, Rahul Gandhi claimed Congress will sweep the 2026 Assembly polls and said CM Himanta Biswa Sarma will be jailed after the elections. He accused BJP of manipulating the Election Commission and handing state resources to corporates. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge also criticized the BJP for corruption, unemployment, and failing to support tea garden workers. Both leaders condemned recent evictions and promised to rebuild houses if voted to power.
