Railway Board Seeks Report on Reopening Doomdooma Station

The Railway Board has asked Northeast Frontier Railway to submit a report by July 21 on reopening Doomdooma station on the historic Dibrugarh-Sadiya route, including setting up a reservation system and ticket counter. This follows Jorhat MP Gaurav Gogoi’s letter urging railway infrastructure improvements in Assam, including 22 key proposals aimed at boosting regional connectivity and public convenience.
