Rain Threat Looms Over Assam Election Campaigning

With election campaigning set to peak, the IMD has forecast above-normal rainfall across Northeast India over the next two weeks, raising concerns for political events.

Rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds are expected till early April, with the state already recording excess rainfall this month.

The wet weather may disrupt rallies by major leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, ahead of the April 9 polls.
