RPF Seizes Contraband Worth Over Rs. 26.48 Lakh in Northeast India

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Northeast Frontier Railway recovered contraband goods valued at over Rs. 26.48 lakh between September 1 and September 15. Nine individuals were arrested for their involvement in transporting these illegal items. Notably, on September 2, RPF and GRP officials at Lumding railway station seized 19.7 grams of brown sugar worth Rs. 3.94 lakh and 18.10 kg of ganja valued at Rs. 1.81 lakh. The arrested individuals and the contraband were handed over to the local police for legal action.
