Rs 8 Crore River Dredging Project Launched in Nazira to Tackle Floods

Water Resources Minister Pijush Hazarika laid the foundation for dredging the Namdang, Doikhana, and Danchi rivers in Nazira to ease recurring floods. The ₹8 crore project aims to restore cultivable land within four months. Hazarika also announced a 20-km embankment along the Dikhow River to prevent future flooding.
