Mizoram CM Lalduhoma announced the completion of the 51.38 km Bairabi–Sairang railway line, connecting Aizawl to India’s rail network. The project, featuring 48 tunnels, 55 bridges, and India’s tallest railway pier, was sanctioned in 2008–09. Cleared for trial runs, passenger services will start soon.
