Satra Leaders Launch Movement to Reclaim Encroached Lands in Nagaon and Morigaon

Satradhikars and bhakats from 16 satras in Nagaon and Morigaon districts gathered on Saturday to initiate a movement against land encroachment. Satras like Narowa, Kuji, and Bali have lost most of their lands to suspected encroachers. A five-member committee, led by Indramohan Baruah, was formed to oversee the movement. The group demands government action to free the encroached lands and protect their cultural heritage. The movement will continue until the satra lands are reclaimed.
