SC Collegium Recommends Transfer of 21 High Court Judges

The Supreme Court collegium, led by CJI BR Gavai, has recommended the transfer or repatriation of 21 High Court judges across India. Notable moves include Gauhati HC judges Lanusungkum Jamir, Manash Ranjan Pathak, and Suman Shyam to Calcutta, Orissa, and Bombay HCs, respectively.

Justice Vijay Bishnoi, Chief Justice of Gauhati HC, has been recommended for elevation to the Supreme Court, along with Justice NV Anjaria and Justice Atul Chandurkar.

The reshuffle affects judges from HCs of Telangana, Karnataka, Bombay, Allahabad, Madras, Delhi, Rajasthan, Punjab & Haryana, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Patna.
