SC Issues Notice on Plea Against BJP Assam Video

The Supreme Court issued notice to BJP Assam and social media platform X over a plea seeking removal of a controversial video posted on September 15. The petition claims the video spreads communal disharmony by depicting a false “Muslim takeover” of Assam. The bench of Justices Vikram Nath and Sandeep Mehta listed the matter for hearing on October 27.
