SDRF Recovers Fourth Body After Tragic Boat Accident in Assam’s Goalpara District

A rescue operation by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) recovered another body following the tragic boat accident in the Brahmaputra River in Simlitola, Goalpara district, Assam, on Thursday. The accident claimed three lives and left two others missing when the boat capsized.

The bodies of Manjit Saha, Gouranga Malakar, and Jit Karmakar were recovered earlier. The identity of the newly recovered body is yet to be determined, pending confirmation if it belongs to Uday Sarkar or Sujan Malakar, who are still missing. The SDRF and other rescue teams continue their efforts to locate the missing individuals and provide closure to the grieving families.
