Security Enhanced for Akhil Gogoi After Threat Inputs

Jorhat: Security for Raijor Dal president and Sivasagar MLA Akhil Gogoi has been strengthened following intelligence inputs about a possible threat to his life. Additional house guards and a pilot escort have been deployed.

The MLA said authorities received information about an alleged conspiracy against him, prompting a review of his security arrangements. Police have reportedly detained some suspects and are searching for others linked to the case.

Gogoi, currently staying at his Selenghat residence near Mariani after the demise of his mother, said investigations are ongoing. However, officials have not yet issued any detailed statement regarding the nature of the threat.
