Another shocking incident rocked Mariani in Assam’s Jorhat district within days of a man’s body being discovered dumped on a roadside. This time, a man allegedly killed his elder brother with a sharp weapon following a family dispute at Kathalguri Tea Estate office line. The victim, Ratnu Tapna (48), was identified, while his younger brother, Salu Tapna, stands accused. Locals suspect the murder stemmed from a family feud.
