Six Arrested in Guwahati for Alleged Illegal Cattle Slaughter

Six persons were arrested during a police raid at Paschim Boragaon under Gorchuk Police Station in Guwahati for allegedly running an illegal cattle slaughtering and beef processing operation.

Acting on specific intelligence, police conducted a raid and apprehended the accused from different parts of Assam. During the operation, officers seized slaughtering tools, a freshly slaughtered cow’s head, and around 91 kg of beef.

A case has been registered under the Assam Cattle Preservation Act, 2021, and further investigation is underway.
