Sonitpur District ABSU Conference Concludes with Focus on Development and Education

The 52nd annual conference of the Sonitpur district ABSU recently concluded at Batachipur No. 1 Sijouguri LP School in Dhekiajuli. BTC Chief Pramod Boro attended as the chief guest and discussed development issues in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), emphasizing the implementation of the BTR peace accord. He announced that more villages would soon be included in the BTR, with others falling under the Boro-Kachari Welfare Autonomous Council. Boro also promised financial aid for Sijouguri’s development and improvements in communication infrastructure.

The three-day event, which began on January 9, included delegate sessions, sports, cultural competitions, and orientation programs on competitive exams. A civil services exam orientation was conducted by experts, and a new ABSU district committee was formed, with Enosh Mochahary as president and Sanjwhwlao Boro as secretary.
