Sonowal Unveils Bust of Dikhowmukh College Founder

Dikhowmukh, Sivasagar: Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal unveiled the bust of late educationist and Dikhowmukh College founder-principal Haren Bhuyan at the college campus. During the programme, Sonowal remembered Bhuyan’s contribution to education and urged students to uphold discipline, dedication and hard work while also protecting the environment.

Rajya Sabha MP Jogen Mohan, who attended the event, announced ₹10 lakh from his MP Local Area Development Fund for the college’s infrastructure development. Principal Dr Ranjit Kumar Baruah and Assistant Professor Dr Romen Kalita were also present at the commemorative programme.
