Southeast Asian Cultural Gathering is held at Dispur College

On Monday, Dispur College, in partnership with the Northeast Aashirvad Foundation, Gauhati University, and the Centre for South East Asian Studies, hosted the Southeast Asian Cultural Confluence 2023, a massive cultural celebration.

The opening ceremony of the occasion was facilitated by Dr. Sanjib Kr. Sarma, Head, Department of English, Dispur College was graced by the august presence of Ranjan Sarma, Commissioner and Secretary to the Chief Minister of Assam, Prof. Jayanta Krishna Sarma, HoD, Political Science and Dean, Faculty of Arts, Gauhati University, representatives from the Centre for South East Asian Studies, Gauhati University, eminent artist from Assam, Jina Rajkumari, and many esteemed delegates from different Southeast Asian nations such as Dr. Karin Khomkrich from Mahasarakham. University and Dr. Waraporm Cherdchoo from Naresuan University, Thailand, Dr. Matheus Wasi Bantolo, Senior Dance Director, Indonesia, Bibhu Prakash Kayastha, Senior Journalist, Kathmandu, Nepal etc.
