Special Trains Announced for Maha Kumbh Mela 2025

To manage the expected influx of pilgrims during the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) will operate special trains between Kamakhya, Naharlagun, and Tundla stations.

Kamakhya–Tundla special trains will run on January 9, 25, February 8, and 22, 2025, while Naharlagun–Tundla trains will operate on January 9, 25, February 8, and 22, 2025. The trains will pass through major stations like New Jalpaiguri, Patna, Prayagraj, and Bhagalpur.

Both routes will feature a mix of AC, Sleeper, and General coaches for passengers’ convenience. These services aim to ensure smooth travel for pilgrims attending the event.
