Specially Abled Man Attacked in Jorhat; One Suspect Detained

In a shocking incident, a specially abled man was attacked by an individual and two women on the streets of Jorhat. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening when the man, who collects taxes for the municipality, was assaulted with a sharp object in an unprovoked attack.

Eyewitnesses report that Ghan Saikia, along with two unidentified women, arrived at the scene in a rickshaw and suddenly attacked the man before fleeing. Local residents quickly helped the injured man and rushed him to a hospital.

The motive behind the attack remains unclear. The Jorhat police have detained Ghan Saikia for questioning and are working to identify the two women involved as the investigation continues.
