SSA Mandates ‘Vidya Pravesh’ Programme for Class 1 Students in Assam

Samagra Shiksha, Assam has directed all districts to implement the ‘Vidya Pravesh’ programme for Grade 1 students from April to June 2026.

The three-month play-based module aims to build foundational literacy and numeracy, especially for children without pre-school exposure.

A structured monitoring system has been put in place, and districts must submit implementation reports by July 5, 2026.
