SSB Seizes Truck Loaded with Illegal Timber Worth Rs. 26 Lakh Near Indo-Bhutan Border

On Tuesday, the 6th Battalion of SSB in Datgari seized a Tata 710 truck loaded with 78 pieces of sawn timber worth Rs. 26 lakh from Oxiguri in Chirang district. Acting on a tip-off, the SSB found the truck (AS01PC3731) abandoned in a forest area. The smugglers fled the scene and could not be located. The seized items were handed over to the Forest Range Office at Runikhata for further action.
