Students Protest Tree Felling for Guwahati Flyover Project

Students from Cotton University and other colleges staged a peaceful protest near Rabindra Bhawan on Sunday against the felling of old trees for the GNB Road flyover near Dighalipukhuri. Tensions rose as police tried to disperse them. Protesters sang Bhupen Hazarika’s anthem in defiance, demanding environmental protection and transparency in the project.
