Suicide Bombing at Islamabad Mosque Kills 31

At least 31 people were killed and around 170 injured after a suicide bomber struck a Shia mosque during Friday prayers in Islamabad’s Tarlai area. The attacker detonated the explosive at the entrance of the imambargah despite being intercepted.

Rescue operations were launched immediately, hospitals were put on emergency alert, and security forces sealed the area. No group has claimed responsibility so far, though police suspect links to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan.
