Suspected Food Poisoning Hospitalizes Dozens in Assam’s Majuli

Over 20 individuals have been hospitalized due to suspected food poisoning in Majuli, Assam. The incident occurred after attendees consumed prasad at a religious ceremony hosted by Gobin Payeng. Those affected experienced various health issues, including nausea, and were admitted to a local hospital for treatment. The affected individuals hailed from nearby villages in Majuli. Majuli MLA Bhuban Gam visited the hospital to assess the patients’ condition, and an investigation into the incident has been launched. Medical teams are closely monitoring the patients to prevent any deterioration in their health.
