Swahid Smarak Kshetra Hall to Open in December

The reception hall of Guwahati’s ₹100-crore Swahid Smarak Kshetra may be inaugurated on December 10, pending final construction. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma revealed the memorial honors 850 Assam Agitation martyrs with a photo hall, meditation space, a 67-meter tower, and ethnic food court.

The 12-floor complex will offer a Deepor Beel view and host events. Entry will be ticketed, with free access on special days like Swahid Diwas. Martyrs’ families will always have free entry.
