Teachers urge CM not to cut wages following regularisation

In an effort to regularise the employment of contract teachers, the government was urged by the Assam State Primary Teachers’ Association (ASPTA) not to reduce the salary amount. Regarding this, on December 21, the ASPTA will send a memo to the Chief Minister via the district commissioners, requesting a review of the government’s decision and the appointment of new teachers under the guise of regularisation for contract teachers. This resolution was decided upon on Sunday at a meeting held at Raijik Shikshak Bhawan.
