Dogs competing in the 8th Assam International Agri-Horti Show represent 50 different breeds

On Sunday, the 8th Assam International Agri-Horti Show, 2023 took place at the College of Veterinary Science Playground in Khanapara. The main event of the second day was a dog show. There were many people present on the second day as well, and a number of competitions were held, including ones involving floral arrangements, pitha preparation, art contests, quizzes, and much more.

In the presence of Bhaskar Pegu, IAS, Director of Agriculture Assam, other high-ranking officials, and invited guests, Atul Bora, Minister of Agriculture & Horticulture, etc., Assam, officially opened the event. A total of fifty dogs representing various breeds, including Labrador, Beagle, Siberian Husky, German Shepherd, and others, took part in the show, where canines from BSF, SSB, and NDRF showcased their abilities. A large number of people, including kids, had congregated nearby to witness the dogs’ impressive antics and performances, which drew enthusiastic cheers.
