Tragedy struck at Gaglacherra Tea Estate in Hailakandi district as 16-year-old Suroj Turi drowned in the Katakhal River on Wednesday. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) swiftly launched a search operation in collaboration with local residents following the unfortunate event. Reports indicate that Turi was bathing in the river when the incident occurred, prompting villagers to notify authorities. The incident unfolded at Nimaichancdpur village, located along the banks of the Katakhal River.
