Teen’s Hand Severed in Violent Attack in Dhubri District


In a shocking incident, a teenager’s hand was severed by a group of miscreants in Golakganj, Dhubri district, Assam, around 11 p.m. on Friday. The violence erupted from a dispute between two groups. The teenager, trying to protect his brother, suffered the grievous injury during the altercation. The attackers, led by Moinul Haque and including Tattoo, Tempo, Rashidul, Zahidul, Salwar, Samina, Amina, and Momena, used daggers, axes, and other sharp weapons. Several others, including Abdul Bari, Majnu Ali, and Ayub Ali, were also severely injured. The victims were first treated at Dhubri Medical College & Hospital and later transferred to Gauhati Medical College & Hospital due to their critical condition. The Golakganj police have arrested Moinul Haque, while the other attackers are still at large. The incident has heightened community concerns about safety and criminal activity in the area.
