Tezpur University Launches M.Tech. in Semiconductor Technology

Tezpur University (TU) has commenced admissions for its Master of Technology (M. Tech.) programme in Semiconductor Technology starting in the 2024-25 academic session. Offered by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, this two-year, full-time programme combines comprehensive academic coursework with practical experience. The curriculum is designed to prepare graduates to meet industry demands. Vice Chancellor Prof. Shambhu Nath Singh highlighted India’s ‘Semiconductor Mission,’ emphasizing the initiative’s goal of positioning India as a global semiconductor hub. This new programme reflects the importance of semiconductors in various economic sectors, including aerospace, automobiles, and information technology.
