The East Guwahati Police District arrested two smugglers and rescued 16 cattle

A team of East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) officers from Sonapur Police Station rescued 16 cattle that were about to be smuggled in a cattle smuggling foil.

The team apprehended a truck with the registration AS10 C 1103 in Lalmati after it attempted to smuggle cattle to Meghalaya. In this regard, the team apprehended two smugglers from Morigaon, Md. Baharul Islam and Rouful Ahmed.
